Blakeney Manor Hotel in Norfolk bore the brunt from one of the worst tidal surges in the last 60 years, in December 2013 and was closed by the devastation.
Following a six month programme of repair and refurbishment the hotel needed to urgently regain and find new customers .
IQ Media were appointed to develop and implement a digital marketing strategy that would quickly deliver results. This work involved developing a new brand identity for the hotel to optimize its appeal, by reflecting its heritage, location and high level of service. The logo took its inspiration and was developed to represent a 500 year old Mulberry Bush present in the ground and to depict the bird life for which Blakeney Point is famous.
A new responsive website was developed and the power of video to reach and engage new and existing customers was used to great effect, with the video featured on the homepage of the website and promoted on social media channels. The video receives a significant number of views each week and this helps to attract customers to the website, hotel and Blakeney.
iQ Media also developed a bespoke online booking system to aid new and returning customers.
A professional emarketing campaign was undertaken as a proactive and immediate method to reach all target contacts and monitor their response. This combined with the campaign content helped to generate a significant level of interest. The hotel was quickly achieving significantly higher occupancy levels than prior to the flood and has just enjoyed its best summer.
