As a leading digital agency, we are always on the lookout for ground breaking technologies which can offer game changing solutions to our clients. Therefore, when SeaRoc approached us looking for a show stopping product launch, we knew exactly what the project called for – Augmented Reality.
Exclusive providers of specialist products and services to the Offshore Renewable Energy Sector, SeaRoc wanted a unique marketing tool which would set them apart from their competitors at their forthcoming conference.
Showcasing their latest innovations in ocean anchored wind farm technology, the Augmented Reality App needed to be dynamic and informative. A 3D graphic was developed to demonstrate the above and below the sea workings of the wind farm system with interactive elements to enhance the key features.
All visitors to the stand were handed an iPad which presented the interactive graphic when pointed at the illustrated marker covering the floor of the exhibition stand. Created to look like the bottom of the sea bed, the vinyl floor graphic ‘came to life’ with the App, allowing viewers to zoom in and out of the onscreen illustration and allowing them to travel ‘underwater. They even had the opportunity to peek inside the wind farm through opening doors positioned on the wind farm image.
Passers-by were intrigued to see the 3D image displayed on a large screen, enticing them onto the stand to find out more.
Now used as part of their sales team presentation, the App continues to prove a success and positions SeaRoc not only as market leaders but genuine innovators in their specialist field.
